STARR Docks & Lifts – A Brief History

Almost 30 years ago Jim Starr founded Lakeshore Products, a supplier of Boat Docks, Boat Lifts, PWC Lifts and shoreline accessories.

With his success at Lakeshore Products, Jim was ready for a new challenge. Continuing with his innovative shoreline ideas, he relocated to Camden, Michigan in 1989 launching Starr Industries and developing the Starr line of docks, boat lifts and PWC lifts.

In 2001, with the growing popularity of Starr products, the Camden facilities became cramped and operations were moved to a more expansive location in Quincy, Michigan – the location where we continue today to build the Starr line of docks, lifts and shoreline accessories.
